This whole redefining of words reminds me of a story I read many years ago. As an experiment, a man (whose wife had died) decided to raise his only child, teaching her words the opposite way around - no meant yes, up meant down, Mum meant Dad, and so on. The upshot of this was that the house caught fire and when the firemen dragged her out, they asked, "Is there anyone else in the house?"
Her reply was, "No! My mother!" - and since the locals knew she had no mother, they didn't go back inside, and the father died.
